An extensive Pokémon card collection could sell for upwards of £25,000 at Richard Winterton Auctioneers on Tuesday next week (28 May).
The collection, which consists of 2,000 individual cards, consists of 10 complete sets and five master sets.
There are also 16 Pokémon Box Toppers (oversized versions of the cards that were released for promotional purposes) as well as one card that was only made available to Pokémon competition members.
Richard Winterton stated that some of the cards are so in demand that he wouldn’t be surprised if the whole set was bought just to acquire a single card.
He also stated that they’re “…expecting the whole total for the collection to be around £25,000 but they could far exceed this on the day.”
The cards had been collected by a Nottinghamshire-based Pokémon enthusiast throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
