Two paramedics from the West Midlands Ambulance Service and a van driver are in hospital following a collision on Streetway Road in Lichfield.
The collision took place yesterday (7 June) at 7.20pm. Two ambulances and Staffordshire Police arrived on the scene shortly after.
West Midlands Ambulance Service stated that the ambulance had been driving “under normal road conditions” at the time of the crash. There were no patients on board.
Staffordshire Police urged motorists to take alternative routes yesterday evening.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service stated: “The two ambulance crew members and the driver of the van were assessed and treated for injuries not believed to be serious. All three were conveyed to hospital for further treatment.”
