Vistry Group are hoping to transform an 11-acre site between Fradley South and Fradley Park industrial Estate into 109 contemporary properties.

Lichfield District Council’s planning committee are due to meet on 13 May. Planning permission for the housing project could be granted following this.

A spokesperson for the committee suggested that planning permission was likely to be granted, given that the homes would be built in a “sustainable location”.

If approved, 31 of the properties will be used for affordable housing purposes.

The plans include 97 houses containing two to four bedrooms. There will also be three-story apartment blocks containing six properties each.

Vistry Group had already submitted a proposal for the scheme in 2022 but their plans were rejected.

At the time, the marketing assistant for Vistry, Freya Halsall, stated that the company hoped that the houses would “…help meet the housing needs of local people and the growing demand for homes in the area.”
