Residents of Lichfield who live near the railway line should expect to hear maintenance work being carried out at night next week.
East Midlands at Network Rail will be making essential repairs to the line between Lichfield Trent Valley and Alrewas between Monday 24 and Thursday 27 June.
The work will be taking place between 11.45pm and 6.00am.
Ann Shorthouse, the community relations manager for the East Midlands at Network Rail, stated: “We’re carrying out track maintenance which will require using various tools and equipment. This is part of our routine maintenance programme to keep the railway safe and reliable.
She added: “Our team will try to minimise the amount of noise they cause as much as possible, but I want to apologise in advance if people are disturbed by the work.”
