Brian Lines (84) of Leek was sentenced on Tuesday (21 May) to 31 years in prison after being found guilty of 29 sexual offences earlier this month.
Mr Lines has also been added to the Sex Offenders register for life and was given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
His slew of sexual offences took place between 1970 and 2009 but only came to light in 2021 when they were reported.
His 29 crimes include three counts of rape of a female under 16, 16 counts of indecent assault, and assault of a girl under 13 by touching.
DC Annie Blairs, of Staffordshire Police’s Rape and Serious Sexual Offences team, stated: “Despite denying the offences, a jury saw through his lies and he will now spend the rest of his life in prison”.
