Construction is underway for property developers Bellway’s ‘zero bills’ homes in Stafford. The Victoria Gate development is located on the grounds of the former General Electric site.
These homes, which are being built in partnership with Octopus Energy, will feature green technology that ensures zero energy bills for at least five years. According to Bellway, the technology could save homeowners upwards of £1,800 per year.
Each home will come with roof-mounted solar panels, an air source heat pump, and a home battery. These devices will be managed through Kraken – Octopus Energy’s technology platform.
The estate will consist of two, three, and four-bedroom homes. The price range for the properties is between £269,995 and £359,995.
Bellway is also planning on building a further 250 zero bills homes in Bedfordshire.
