Two Stoke-based businesses were recently featured in the Sunday Times 100 list of fastest-growing businesses.

Sunday Times creates this ranking every year and seeks to identify the most successful recent start-ups in the UK.

WorldUnited, an educational resources provider based in Tunstall, was listed at number 35. Map Room, who operate from Federation House on Station Road, was ranked at number 92.

WorldUnited’s ranking was so high due to its considerable revenue, which was £8.6 million as of 2023. The company has achieved an annual sales growth of 123% over the last three years.

At the top of the list was the Clive Henry Group, a healthcare recruitment and consultancy agency based in Birmingham.

Over a third of the companies who made the list are London-based. 11 companies were southeast-based, while 10 were northwest and nine were southwest-based.
