The 18-year-old Josie Cartwright tragically died following a crash on the A51 Wettenhall Road near Nantwich.
She had been driving a red Toyota Aygo when she was involved in a collision with a black Renault Clio. The collision took place on Sunday 2 June at around 2.10pm.
Josie was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital and sadly died from injuries.
Josie’s family remembered her in a statement, which stated: “Josie May Cartwright will be remembered as a real character, full of joy, laughter, strength, and a little mischief. She was and is, loved by all who knew her.”
A woman (33) from Crewe was arrested at the scene of the crash. She has since been released under investigation.
Cheshire Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have captured dashcam footage of the incident to contact them.
