Peter Hoare (34) has been banned indefinitely from teaching after his explicit Twitter account was uncovered.

Hoare has been a teacher at Three Peaks Primary Academy in Tamworth from 2012 until 2022. Following his resignation, parents became aware of the teacher’s explicit online content.

His Twitter account, which was active between 2018 and 2023, featured images of Hoare engaging in sexual activity and exposing his genitals. A video had also been posted to the page that had been filmed in a public place.

The Twitter account did not include images of anyone underage.

Hoare admitted to a professional conduct panel that the account belonged to him.

According to the report made by the panel, Hoare expressed that he was “unhappy with a lot of elements of his life” and that the content was “a reflection of this”.

The report also stated: “The panel were mindful of the fact that it was not their role to cast any judgement on Mr Hoare’s private lifestyle or activities but that the severity of the conduct lay in the fact of the public nature of the explicit posts that Mr Hoare had made in which he was clearly identifiable.”

Hoare’s behaviour was deemed as unprofessional conduct. He has since been indefinitely banned from teaching at any school, sixth form, or college.
