Andrew Lucas (58), from Shareshill, was sentenced to eight years in prison last Friday (14 June) after being found guilty of 10 child sexual offences.
At a hearing at Stafford Crown Court, Lucas was found guilty of committing four counts of gross indecency with a boy and six counts of indecent assault of a boy.
Lucas committed these offences several years ago. The brave survivor only recently came forward to report what had happened.
Lucas denied the claims on initial questioning. However, specialist officers gathered sufficient evidence to secure the charges against Lucas.
He was sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court.
Detective Constable Grant Dixon stated: “I’m really pleased the evidence we gathered was enough to prove Lucas’ offending and secure justice for the survivor.”
He continued: “I’d like to comment his tremendous bravery in coming forward and telling us about what happened.”
