Another St Giles Hospice elephant statue has been targeted by vandals just two days after installation.
The latest statue to be vandalised is titled Tamworth Pigs and had been installed at Tamworth Castle.
St Giles Hospice, the charity behind the installation, have now confirmed that Tamworth Pigs has since been removed due to the damage.
This comes a day after the Van Gogh-inspired Vince sculpture was knocked over on Bore Street, Lichfield a day after being installed.
Over 70 elephants were installed on 30 June throughout Lichfield, Tamworth, and Sutton Coldfield.
Each statue in the March of the Elephants collection features a unique design painted by a local artist. The plan is to auction each of the elephants off in September with a minimum price of £3,000. All of the money raised will go to charity.
However, it is unclear whether the two vandalised elephants will still be going to auction, given the extent of the damage on each.
A JustGiving page has been set up to raise the money these elephants would have made at auction. Donate money to the cause here.
