Police investigate ‘deliberate’ house fire in Cobridge

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a deliberate blaze was started at a Cobridge Road address in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday 16 June). 

Police and members of the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the scene just before 3.30am. 

They found the kitchen of the house ‘well-alight’. It took a total of four fire engines to tackle the blaze, with crews from Longton, Newcastle, Sandyford, and Hanley all called to the scene. 

No one was injured in the fire. 

Police are now asking for witnesses to come forward. To report information regarding this fire, call the police on 101 and quote incident 086 of 16 June.
