On Monday (13 May) a man appeared in the casualty ward of the Royal Stoke University Hospital with wounds to his arms and face following what the police are describing as a “machete attack”.
Staffordshire Police were informed at 5.30pm on Monday of an individual being “attacked with a machete” on Tunstall’s Knightsbridge Way. However, it is thought that the attack itself took place at least 50 minutes before the police were informed.
Paramedics received “reports of a stabbing” on Knightsbridge Way at 4.42pm. However, when they arrived at the scene, the victim had already left.
According to the police, the victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
Investigations into the incident are still ongoing and police are appealing for information.
Witnesses should contact the police on 101 and quote incident 476 of 13 May.
