Four men have been arrested after ‘100 cannabis plants’ were found growing in a Longton property. 

Staffordshire Police had been responding to reports of a suspected break-in at 8.45pm on Tuesday 28 May.

Once discovered, the police seized the 100 cannabis plants. Paraphernalia related to cannabis production, including lights and transformers, was also taken. A BB gun was also seized. 

A 20-year-old man, of no fixed address, and a 25-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal. 

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary while a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary. Both of these men are from the Stoke-on-Trent area. 

Police are continuing enquiries into the attempted burglary and cannabis grow recovered. 

All four men arrested have since been released on conditional bail.
