Butt Lane Farm, located in Ranton, will open its gates to the public on Saturday 26 May in aid of the National Garden Scheme.
Garden fans can access the garden between 10am and 4pm. 20 arts and crafts stalls, live entertainment, and a classic motor display will also be held at the farm. Refreshments will be provided, as will pizza and barbeque food.
Located west of Stafford, this private garden holds 13 trophies and was a finalist in the English Garden Magazine’s National Favourite Gardens 2023. It is characterised by its fruit and vegetable gardens, floral beds, and greenhouse courtyard. The surrounding woodland and farmland landscape also add to the garden’s charm.
The entrance fee is £5 (Children can enter for free) with all money raised going towards the National Garden Scheme (NGS). Over 3,500 gardens are taking part in the scheme throughout 2024.
The NGS, which has been running since 1927, donates money to a variety of charities, including Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer Support, The Queen’s Nursing Institute, and Hospice UK.
NGS is Hospice UK’s biggest funder and has raised over £7 million for the charity since 1996.
