Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a mobility scooter was stolen in Sneyd Green, Stoke-on-Trent and later set on fire. 

The scooter was taken from an address near Buxton Street just after 8.00pm last Friday (28 June). 

The scooter was found six hours later just before 2.30am having been set alight in a small park on Moston Street in Birches Head. 

The mobility scooter was black and made by Rascal. 

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire and successfully extinguished it. 

Police are now asking for witnesses to come forward. They’re also asking for those with relevant CCTV footage to contact them on 101, quoting incident 750 of 29 June.
