LIV Golf UK is coming to Staffordshire this weekend and over 35,000 golf fans are expected to travel to the venue to spectate.

This professional men’s golfing tour will stop at the JCB Golf & Country Club in Uttoxeter this weekend and will feature some of the biggest professional golfers in the world.

Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, Brooks Koepka, and Bryson DeChambeau are just a few of the names that will play over the weekend.

A total of 54 players will be competing to win a part of the £19.3 prize money, with the winner set to take home £3 million.

The three-day event takes place between 26 and 28 July. Golf fans from all over the world are expected to descend on Staffordshire this weekend to cheer on the golfers, providing a positive impact on the tourist sector.

Many hotels in the area have no vacancies, and local bars and restaurants are anticipating the busiest weekend of the year so far.

Chris Bentley, the JCB Golf & Country Club Director and General Manager, stated “We anticipate that around 35,000 fans will descend on the venue over the course of the three days. The tournament will not only be a fantastic showcase for Staffordshire but help us achieve our goal of becoming a world-class facility, renowned for golf and hospitality.”

He continued: “We are also delighted that this is creating a boost for the local economy right at the start of the Summer holiday season in the towns and villages immediately surrounding JCB as well as further afield.”

For those not traveling to Uttoxeter this weekend, the competition can be streamed on the LIV Golf YouTube channel.
