Staffordshire Police have launched a murder investigation after two bodies were found at a property in Hednesford, near Cannock.
Police were alerted to the situation at 12.30pm yesterday (25 June) by West Midlands Ambulance Service.
An ambulance was sent to the address following a ‘concern for welfare’ callout. The ambulance team gained access to the property just before 12.20pm.
The bodies of a man and a woman were discovered inside a property on Alpine Drive.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service stated: “Sadly, it was immediately obvious that nothing could be done to save them and ambulance staff immediately alerted Staffordshire police.”Police have since set up a cordon in the area and are now carrying out enquiries. They’ve also set up an online portal for submitting information related to the case.
