Reconstruction and resurfacing work is set to begin on Elliots Lane, a busy road in Codsall, today (20 May). Work on the road will be ongoing until 4 June.
From today until Friday (24 May) between 9.00am and 3.00pm, temporary traffic lights will control traffic on Elliots Lane between Yew Tree Gardens and the Watery Lane roundabout.
From 28 May until 1 June, the affected section of the road will be completely closed between 7.30am and 7.30pm.
Resurfacing will take place on 2 June. On this day, the road will be completely closed between 7.30am and 10.00pm.
The road will be closed between 3 and 4 June, between 9.00am and 3.00pm, to allow crews to paint the road.
In addition to fixing the road, crews will also remove vegetation from the footpaths.
This project is part of Staffordshire City Council’s £50 million investment scheme into the county’s roads.
This money will go into repairing and resurfacing roads throughout the county over the next three years.
