Air ambulance takes woman to hospital after motorbike crash

A woman, who had been riding a mini motorbike, crashed into a stationary vehicle on Monday (17 June). 

At 3.18pm, West Midlands Ambulance Services were called to the scene at Chapelon, Glascote Heath in Tamworth. The incident is believed to have happened shortly after 3.00pm. 

Staffordshire Police cordoned off the site of the crash and two ambulances attended the scene. 

A yellow Northamptonshire Air Ambulance was seen landing nearby. 

The woman was treated at the scene for potentially serious injuries. She was later transported via air ambulance to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. 

She was treated for a head injury and has since been discharged.

Staffordshire Police have asked for witnesses or those with dashcam, doorbell, or CCTV footage to come forward.
