On 2 June, it was reported that a young girl had been injured in a collision involving an off-road motorbike near Central Forest Park in Stoke-on-Trent.
The family feared for her life as she was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital. Thankfully, the girl did not sustain serious injuries.
Now, three teenage boys have been arrested in connection to the collision.
A 17-year-old and a 15-year-old, both of Stoke-on-Trent, have been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after the collision. A third teenager, who is 17 years old and also from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft.
All three teens were questioned while in custody and have since been released under investigation. Staffordshire Police are still carrying out enquiries.
Police have also provided further support to the young girl by working with her school and members of the local community.
Police are asking that anyone who has any information in relation to the incident to call them on 101 and quote incident 588 of 2 June.
