Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a dozen bales of hay were set alight at a farm in Gnosall on Saturday 18 May.
Police were called to the scene at 12.30am. It is believed that the fire was started two hours before at 10.30pm.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Services also attended the scene. No one was harmed.
The suspects are three boys believed to each be aged between 10 and 12. They were wearing shorts and t-shirts and one was riding a red bike.
Eyewitnesses or those with information related to the incident should contact the police by calling 101 and by quoting incident 32 of 18 May.
