Staffordshire 2024 General Election results

The votes are in for Staffordshire’s 12 seats, with Labour winning big across the county. 

Across the UK, the Labour Party won enough seats and now has a majority in parliament. 

Rishi Sunak announced that he would be stepping down as Prime Minister and will be resigning as the leader of the Conservative Party during an announcement outside Downing Street at 10.30am earlier today (5 July). 

Labour leader Keir Starmer will be the UK’s next Prime Minister. 

Several Labour victories in Staffordshire helped the Labour Party achieve their landslide victory.
