Saracens Head, located on Sandon Road in Meir, is gearing up to reopen this Wednesday (22 May) at 12.00pm.
The pub, restaurant, and venue space closed its doors over a month ago following a change in management. The building has since undergone a refurbishment and is now set to reopen with a new food and drinks menu in addition to its new look.
On 8 April, the former owner took to Facebook to announce their decision to step back from the pub.
They stated, “after 12 fantastic years at the Saracens we have decided to step aside and give another operator the opportunity to inject new life into the pub”. The post also announced that the pub would close for refurbishments on 15 April.
Over the last month, the building had been fenced off. Contractors had been onsite making changes to the venue’s exterior, including the pub’s signage.
