One of Barlaston’s most popular restaurants has been awarded two AA Rosettes – just over a month after appointing a new head chef.
Taking to Facebook to announce the news, the staff stated: “We’re beyond thrilled to announce Lunar’s latest accomplishment”.
New head chef Carl Riley has striven to maintain the high standard created by previous head chef Nial Keating. He’s also aimed to showcase the best that Staffordshire cuisine has to offer, using locally sourced ingredients to create his à la carte menu.
Upon announcing the two Rosettes, Lunar also announced the launch of its new menu, which includes two courses for £20 Classic Set Menu and Lunar Experience Menu. Amongst the restaurant’s specialities include its beef fillet steak with triple-cooked chips.
Of the new awards, Director Craig Wilkinson stated: “The whole team fully deserves every bit of recognition for regularly going above and beyond to serve our guests to the highest of standards.”
He continued: “The AA Rosette scheme celebrates successful cooking at different levels across the UK. According to the AA, two rosettes are given to “excellent restaurants that aim for and achieve higher standards and better consistency.”
