Work on the A511 Horninglow Street will begin tonight (1 July) and continue for the next two weeks.
This main road in Burton-upon-Trent will feature lane closures and temporary traffic lights between the hours of 7.00pm and 6.00am. Work will be carried out overnight to minimise disruption.
This £270,000 scheme will involve road reconstruction, as well as the repair and replacement of drainage systems, paths, and kerbs.
This comes after work on the A5121 Derby Road was completed last week.
The assistant director for highways James Bailey stated: “I’m confident that Burton’s residents will be pleased with the smooth newly-resurfaced route as they travel through the town centre in just over a couple of weeks’ time.”
