Zaye Property Ltd. has submitted plans to transform a disused nightclub on Pall Mall in Hanley into a restaurant.
Bunker 13, which was a rock and metal club, closed in 2017. The building it occupied has lain empty since. Before becoming a nightclub, the building had previously served as a Chinese restaurant.
Now, developers have proposed dividing the large building into four commercial units, with one of the units being used as a restaurant.
The plans state that a “complete overhaul” would be necessary given that the building has “progressively deteriorated” since the nightclub closed.
On top of providing at least 10 new jobs, the proposed renovation work would also “provide a transformative rebirth of the entryway to Pall Mall”.
Stoke–on-Trent City Council are set to consider the proposal over the coming weeks.
