A boy had to be freed from metal fencing in Birchenwood Playing Fields, Kidsgrove after becoming stuck on Sunday (9 June).
West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the scene at 3.11pm. Paramedics and firefighters then worked together to free the boy from the fence.
He was later taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital having sustained a ‘serious injury’. However, a spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service stated that the boy was in a ‘stable’ condition.
The spokesperson said in a statement: “He was treated and conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further trauma care.”
