Staffordshire County Council are calling on Staffordshire residents to take part in a wildlife survey to help define which flora and fauna should be made a conservation priority.
The Local Nature Recovery Strategy survey is being conducted to help the council pinpoint areas throughout the county that require conservation work.
Specifically, the council are looking for rivers, meadows, and woodlands that can be improved upon.
By doing this, the authority hopes to bring about long-term benefits to Staffordshire wildlife.
The survey, which will be open until the end of June, can be completed here.
Staffordshire County Council’s cabinet member for environment, Simon Tagg, stated: “This information will help us to ensure they continue to thrive for generations to come.”
