The popular luxury spa venue Moddershall Oaks, located near Stone in the Staffordshire countryside, has announced they are investing a six-figure sum into constructing premium overnight accommodation.
This comes only a short time after the venue completed the renovation of its events space and wedding venue in February 2024.
To make the venue more convenient for wedding guests and those using events space for business meetings, Moddershall Oaks will create 14 wooden accommodation pods of varying sizes. It is hoped that this move will also encourage more people to visit the Staffordshire countryside for short breaks and staycations.
The accommodation will include four family pods, eight doubles, and a honeymoon suite. There will also be a wedding prep pod, which can be used in conjunction with the wedding venue.
The addition of the pods will extend the overnight capacity of Moddershall Oaks. Currently, the spa has 10 boutique rooms for overnight guests.
The pods will also make better use of the surrounding countryside. The windows will look right onto the woodlands and lake. Pod guests will be able to dine at the onsite Oak House Restaurant.
“The woodland pods offer a different style of accommodation and allow us to offer different types of rooms to suit the occasion. We hope the new pods will make weddings and events feel even more special at Moddershall Oaks” said the Director of Moddershall Oaks, Penny Weston.
