Staffordshire police have today arrested four people at JCB’s world logistics site in Tunstall after a protest over the use of bulldozers in Israel.

Protesters arrived at the site at around 6:30 this morning and proceeded to lie down in the road. Strapping themselves into place using arm tubes.


Groups of protesters have clashed at an anti-grooming rally in Swan Square, Burslem.

The rally, promoted by far-right political party Britain First and the Stoke Infidels, became heated when counter-protesters gathered in the square.


Campaigners have left Fenton Town Hall the night before they were due to appear at Stoke-on-Trent County Court for trespassing.

The campaigners have occupied the old courthouse, in Albert Square, since Remembrance Sunday in an attempt to stop it from being sold and to keep the Minton tiled WW1 memorial.
