The 6 Towns Radio Awards returned to celebrate local heroes for the seventh year running.

Staffordshire University students have launched the Staffs Future Journalist competition 2017 to discover the next generation of talented young journalists.

The competition is open to school children aged 7-18 across Staffordshire, Cheshire and the West Midlands who can write up a review, opinion piece or interview to stand a chance of winning.

College Martin deakin, City of Stoke-on-Trent College Awards

A talented sixth form student at City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College has been honoured after he beat thousands to an internship with the Cabinet Office in Whitehall.

Martin Deakin, 18, from Alsager, was awarded The Humanities, Language and Literature prize at the college presentation evening.


A Staffordshire chef has been crowned one of the nation’s curry kings.

Chef Bosharath Miah, who runs the Cloves Indian Restaurant on Ashbourne Road, Bottomhouse, was given a Curry Chef of the Year Award.
