The Stafford Gatehouse Theatre will play host to the opera Rigoletto this month, in a bid by the Russian State Ballet and Opera House to bring productions to more local audiences.

The performance will feature a live orchestra as the group tells the tragic story of Rigoletto, a hunchbacked court jester and his beautiful daughter Gilda, which was adapted into an opera in 1850 by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi.
