An exhibition of Robbie Williams memorabilia and photographs has opened in the Potteries Museum in celebration of the Staffordshire superstar’s 40th birthday.

Among the vast collection of memorabilia was one of Robbie’s 17 Brit Awards, his Ivor Novello award for ‘Angels’, and several items of his clothing, including the jacket worn in the Take That video ‘Pray’.

A New Year’s Eve trip to town by two Stoke-on-Trent sisters turned into a “family tragedy”, an inquest heard.

Kathleen Brennan, 71, of Stross Avenue, Little Chell, was a passenger in her sister Marion Bould’s car when it collided with a lamppost on Greenbank Road, Tunstall, on December 31 2012.

Rugby Union is set to shape the future of sporting trend for Stoke-on-Trent with children as young as one now taking part in training sessions.

Little Stars Rugby, which is based in Wales and was founded in 2011, provides rugby skills training to toddlers and has now branched out to the Co-Operative Academy in Tunstall.
