BRILLIANT news for Stoke fans as they can once again return to the Bet365 to witness a clash between the Stoke and Sunderland U23’S.
The semi-final playoffs for promotion will be open to fans and it is expected for at least 2000 tickets to be distributed to spectators.
Chief Executive Tony Scholes said, “This is the most positive step in over a year” and “it has been a long difficult season without fans”.
As per the guidelines, seats will be socially distanced at £5 each plus a £1 booking fee.
Anyone with a 2021/22 season ticket have been given priority to purchase tickets whereas non holders will be able to do so on Thursday.
The match would obviously serve as a test for next season to see how Stoke will be able to deal with returning fans.
The Stoke under 23’s have been having a brilliant season as they had finished 2nd in the league, runners up to Leeds United.
The format of the league means that 2nd place Stoke will be allowed to play at home against a 5th place Sunderland.
If the Potters Under 23’s manage to secure the win here, they will go onto face either Wolverhampton or Crystal Palace.
As the league is structured, if Stoke star over Sunderland, the finals will also be played at the Bet365 due to their 2nd place finish.
For those wanting space for their cars, passes can be bought for the West 1 and 2 car parks for £2.
Look out for Ethon Varian in the playoffs. The youngster has scored 9 goals in 21 games this season and added 5 assists too.
As per Stoke Sentinel, it is expected that fans will be back in full force come August for Stoke’s 2021/22 season.
The attendance for the under 23’s game will surely be a good experience for the players and fans alike.
