Queen’s Speech: What do the people of Stoke-on-Trent think of the plans to reduce fragmentation on the railways?


The Queen’s Speech has taken place this morning and ambitious plans have been announced to reduce “fragmentation” of the rail network.

This could see the current nine companies who run the railways turning control back over to the government for the first time since the 1990’s.

But what do the people of Stoke-on-Trent think about the potential for these plans? Could it improve the current rail standards, or are they satisfied with their current transport options? We went to Stoke-on-Trent station to find out.
