Police search for missing jacket in murder probe


Staffordshire Police are appealing for the public’s help in the search for a distinctive missing jacket linked to the murder of 26-year-old Anas Chergat.

Anas was stabbed in the chest and back before he died at his home in Etruria on August 23.

The jacket that the detectives are searching for, as shown in a digital recreation released today, is black/khaki in colour with two large pockets on the front breasts.

Detectives are appealing for information to find a jacket (left) in connection with the murder of 26-year-old Anas Chergat (right).

Police believe the missing jacket to have been left in the Etruria area in the early hours of the 23rd August.

Anyone with any information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 52 of August 23.
