Mothercare community day a big success

Festival Park based store Mothercare has reported that their Easter community fun day was a big success.

During the Easter break, the baby-goods store held a fun day aimed to improve and build upon their relationships with the surrounding community.

Mothercare put on arts and crafts; had a local PCSO drop by complete with a Police van; held a free raffle; had a face painting station and even had staff dressed up as movie character favourites.

Store specialist and organiser of the event, Lisa Simpson, said “The event was a huge success for us. All the staff had a great time and it was so good to interact with our customers in a different way.”

Members of staff dressed up for the event, with characters including Elsa and Ana from Frozen, Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, and Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

Mum-of-two, Sam Pidcock, took her children to the event: “It was such a nice atmosphere to be in”

“My youngest dressed up in her princess dress and loved that some of the staff looked the same as her. They made her feel so involved.”

Store managers’ Joanne Smith and Jacqui Bicknell said, “We are so glad the event was a hit. Our staff worked so hard and our customers really enjoyed themselves”

“We can’t wait to hold more events like this in the future.”

The staff from Mothercare will be attending other events around Stoke to continue to build their community relationships.

They will be the Baby, Toddler and Beyond event on June 2 at the Moat House, Festival Park.

They will also be holding their own exclusive Expectant Parent Events at the store on the 9, 13 and 16 June.
