Trains between Crewe and Staffordshire delayed after collision with bridge


Trains running between Crewe & Staffordshire were subject to delays and disruption today after a vehicle hit a railway bridge.

The collision occurred north of Stafford on Thursday afternoon.

Trains are still running across the line but passengers have been warned of delays.

Operators whose services are affected include CrossCountry, Virgin Trains, London Northwestern Railway and East Midlands Trains.

Disruptions are expected throughout Friday but it has not yet been confirmed when they will resume as normal.
