How to Deck Your Table this Christmas

The family and friends are coming around and you want to dress to impress. But when it comes to Christmas Day, the table is always the most important masterpiece of the house.

The centre piece of your Christmas Dinner table will of course be your Christmas Turkey. Make sure to order your turkey in time and get that perfect glaze!

To really make your Christmas table a memorable experience this year, hear a few setting ideas to help you on your way:

Creative Napkin Folding

Get your origami skills out of the old box and make some stunning napkin designs to wow your guests when they sit down. From Christmas trees to flowers and candles there are plenty of skill levels to pick from.

Name Place Cards

Give your guests a seating plan to mix up the conversation around the table. Don’t just give a boring piece of paper with their name on it though, mix it up. Use baubles and bells or give them a treat with a DIY Candy Cane card holder.

Make it fun!

Add your Christmas crackers to the table for some fun jokes and novelty treats. You could also add in some puzzle boxes, or a mini pass the parcel with fun facts and games in for the children. Another fun treat for the table are colouring placemats to keep the kids, and adults alike, entertained and you can keep them for memories of your 2018 Christmas Day.

The Finishing Touch

Give that extra sprinkle of Christmas to your turkey dinner. Get a wreath and put a warm glowing candle in to get in the nostalgic sprit. Alternatively, add some sparkle with table confetti and holly garlands. If a minimalist layout is more your thing, just use a sparkly tablecloth with some festive tea lights to bring the Christmas cheer to you table.

Then, when you’re ready to sit down and enjoy your meal, put on some mandatory Christmas music!
