Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses of a stabbing which took place in Meir last night (8 November).
The 35-year-old male victim was found with a knife wound at the junction of Sandon Road and Waterhead Road at 5.50pm.
He was then taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire by ambulance.
A 22-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent but has since been released from custody with no further action.
Following the incident, high visibility patrols continue to be in place in the area to provide reassurance to the community.
