Elderly woman killed in crash involving tractor on A50 in Kidsgrove


An 86-year-old woman from Kidsgrove has died following a crash on the A50.

Officers were called to a collision on Knutsford Road in Cranage on Saturday (September 22) just before 9pm.

The incident involved a silver Citroen C3 and a tractor.

The 86-year-old woman was a passenger in the Citroen, and died at the scene.

The driver of the Citroen suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital. He has since been discharged.

The driver of the tractor was uninjured.

Cheshire Police have issued an appeal for information following the collision.

The force are appealing for witnesses and urging drivers to check dashcam footage if you were in the area at the time.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who believes they have any dashcam footage of the incident or footage of the vehicles in the moments leading up to the collision.”
