Port Vale’s League 2 match at Barnet tomorrow has been postponed because of the weather.
Officials at the North London club have called off the match because of snow and a frozen pitch.
Vale Boss, Neil Aspin has had to cope with the bad weather but doesn’t think that it should matter in preparation for a game.
Aspin said: “Over the last few months it’s been difficult, we’ve obviously been expecting bad weather in England but we’ve had to contend with a lot of rain which has meant that we can’t get on grass as much as we would like.
“Obviously with the cold weather, snow and the frost you can’t get on the pitches that you want too, it’s interrupted our preparation but it’s no excuse.”
He added: ” A lack of preparation for some games influence the performance on the pitch but I don’t think so, we’ve all been there, anybody who’s played football knows that some times you don’t have the best preparation leading up to a game.”
The Barnet match is yet to be re-scheduled. So far, 18 matches have been called off in the EFL tomorrow.
