‘OMG you Guys!’ – Legally Blonde The Musical brings fabulous charm and an unstoppable performance to The Regent Theatre in Hanley.

Based on the novel and hit movie, Legally Blonde The Musical follows the journey of American fashionista and sorority girl – Elle Woods (Lucie Jones), striving to defy the odds by studying law at Harvard University.

Elle hopes to win back her ex-boyfriend, Warner Huntington III (Liam Doyle), a heart-breaker she is hopelessly besotted with.

Legally Blonde is an unforgettably funny musical. The star-studded, exceedingly talented cast help provide a perfect insight into Elle’s life, with hilarious witty humor.

Coming face-to-face with obstacles along the way, with cold-shouldered, Vivienne (Laura Harrison) and Elle’s own Professor Callaghan (Bill Ward) not taking her seriously, her positive personality and will to achieve finds her realising that law is her true calling.

The help of Elle’s new friends, Paulette (Rita Simmons) and Emmett (David Barrett) goes a long way, she successfully wins an important case, gets her degree, and finds the lasting love she deserves.

A truly amazing performance with world class vocals, Legally Blonde presents a charming show adored by its audience. ‘What you Want’, ‘So Much Better’ and ‘Bend and Snap’ receive roars of approval, thus continually building up the show’s hysteria.

Lovers of the Legally Blonde book and movie (2001) may be surprised by the array of songs in the theater show. ‘There! Right There!’ and ‘Legally Blonde – Remix’ provide lots of laughs for the audience. In addition, ‘Whipped Into Shape’ adds an incredible wow factor and ‘Ireland’ gives a cheerful Irish twist to the tale.

Complete with a final bow from Bruiser and Rufus, the four-legged friends in the show, the cast gave an empowering performance certainly worthy of the standing ovation at the end.
