World famous digger titan, JCB, have announced they will be creating 600 new jobs in the next three months in Stoke-on-Trent.
JCB Chief Operating Officer, Mark Turner, said: “This is great news for the local economy and great news for anyone seeking to work with a globally successful business.
“We know the cities of Stoke-on-Trent, Derby, and surrounding towns have people with the skills we need, and in return they can expect excellent rewards.
“We urgently need fabrication welding skills along with paint sprayers, and general assemblers who will be given full training.”
Jobs are up for grabs at the company’s Cheadle and Rocester plants, with 200 of the positions being filled straight away.
The remaining 400 positions are expected to be filled in May with a rate of pay at least £10.40 an hour.
To work in one of the roles up for grabs, you will be expected to work Monday to Friday, with premium paid shift work opportunities.
In previous years the amount of new jobs available has increased at JCB, from 85 in 2016 to 600 in 2018.
Mark, said: “The future is very bright for JCB as global demand for our machines continues to grow, which means great prospects for people who want to work with us.”
JCB is a globally known manufacturer, which started as a small business in a Uttoxeter garage and now has factories in four continents, remaining family owned.
