Mercedes reveals new A-Class hatchback

The Mercedes A-Class has been revealed with class-leading interior design and a brand new look.

The new car is full of modern technology: including voice recognition, two ten inch displays,
Siri like AI and all of this is part of what makes the new A-class so impressive. The old models interior was becoming aged, but the new model boosts way ahead of its rivals, including BMW, Audi and Volvo.

The old model was already the 6th best-selling car in the UK last month, but it was not without its faults. The visibility and cabin room was the main complaint from A-Class drivers, while the early models suffered from poor handling and ride comfort, before the much-improved facelift in 2015. The new car looks to solve these problems with a larger boot and a bigger rear window.

The design has been influenced by Mercedes’ new design language, after revealing the CLS late last year. The design changes are expected to trickle down to the GLA crossover and CLA saloon models, which are based on the same platform.

StaffsLive understands that a Mercedes-AMG A45 model will follow later this year. The model will go up against the Audi RS3, and have over 400hp.

The Current A45 produces 376hp and is capable of 0-62 in a 4.2-second dash, the new A45 should dip under four seconds.

Deliveries will start in the summer of this year and pricing is yet to be announced, but expects to start at around £22,000.

More information on the Mercedes-Benz A-Class can be found at any Mercedes-Benz dealer, including branches in Stoke and Stafford.
