Are these popular game remakes as exciting as the originals?

For gamers, there is no bigger feeling of anxiety dread and excitement then when an organisation declares that they are going to remake or re-release an old school game that hasn’t been around for quite some time. However, these upcoming remakes may excite a few fans…

When you hear Final Fantasy VII do you instantly get filled with nostalgia and love for a game that may have made your childhood better? Then do I have some amazing news for you. It was announced in 2015 that a reconstruction of the original game is on its way with all the iconic narrative, characters and locations still intact and remastered for HD!

There has been very little confirmed in terms of the original characters making any appearances such as Tifa and Zack. For fans that remember Crisis Core which was more focused on Zack and cloud’s relationship are surely asking the most important question: will Zack be added to the remake as well?  Their relationship was a majority fan favourite and for some the main reason for getting into this franchise in the first place. It will be interesting to see what they do with this beloved game but we will have to wait until after the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 first before we get anymore content or teasers for when the actual remake will drop. An official from Square Enix recently implied that the much-awaited “Final Fantasy VII” remake might be released within the first half of 2018, so stay tuned.

Now for an oldie that goes back even further, Crash bandicoot first spun onto our consoles way back in 1997 and has captivated us ever since releasing games for another two years that shaped our childhood.

With the release of Crash Bandicoot:  N. SANE TRILOGY for the PS4 you can be immersed again in all three Crash games that you know and love with the perk of taking a trip down memory lane in 4K resolution while still very much being the games you remember from ’97, ’98 and ’99.

Fans will find that everything they remember has more or less stayed the same such as the jumping physics and spin attacks which still hold up as well today as they did back then.

If you never played the original three games when they first came out then this is a great way for a new generation of players to discover Crash Bandicoot and fall in love with the iconic Naughty Dog character.

The game Shadow of the colossus may not be as well-known as the previous two mainstream games but for any fans old or new this is a very exciting time as the remake will be released for PlayStation 4 on February 6, 2018. The classic free roaming game is drop-dead gorgeous and plays superbly making it ready to become a classic all over again.

The first thing that captivated fans was how striking and beautiful the original game was and now it has been made into a breath-taking masterpiece by making excellent use of HDR. This isn’t just a remake of a PS2 game, it is a revolutionary stunning PS4 game that is going to take the gaming world by storm once again.

It really is gobsmacking just how good Shadow of the Colossus actually looks and you can tell that the producers put all their time and money into making sure that it wasn’t anything less than perfect. This is a game with a fierce backing and a lot of die-hard fans that have been telling people for over a decade just how amazing this game is and now everyone will be able to see everything people have been talking about for so long.

The Uncharted series is one of the best action adventure franchises in recent gaming history, and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is the best way to play them today and only available on the PS4. The company made sure that these lovingly handled remasters only bring out and preserve the beautiful art direction of the originals with these three exemplary games never looking or playing better. These games have aged remarkably well with their characters being as charming and memorable as ever making fans fall in love with them all over again from experiencing their stories in a new light. So, whether you’ve played them before or not I would highly recommend investing in this complete collection.

These are good examples where the companies have remade these games perfectly and while there are of course some games out there that didn’t have the same result for these nostalgic and memorable franchises this is the best news for any die-hard gamer.
