Two women in Cheadle arrested for drug possession


Two women in Cheadle have been arrested under suspicion of drug possession with intent to supply.

Staffordshire police made the arrests following the execution of a search warrant to their home.

Officers from Staffordshire Moorlands Local Policing Team entered a property in Cheltenham Avenue, Cheadle, yesterday morning (November 9th).

Two women, both aged 40 and from Cheadle, were arrested for possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

One was also arrested for possession of class A drugs.

Both suspects are now in custody.

During the search a quantity of heroin was also recovered by officers.

Inspector Mark Thorley, of Staffordshire Moorlands LPT, said, “We’re committed to taking positive action and welcome any information the public can provide to assist us. Please call 101 if you believe there is suspicious activity in your community.”
