Peter Crouch is set to be offered a new contract that will keep him at the Bet 365 stadium for at least another year.
The veteran striker has been breaking numerous records this season contributing towards his new contract deal.
These include the most substitute appearances and the most headed goals to be scored in the Premier League.
And he can break another record this weekend and can become the all time top scorer for Stoke in the Premier League.
He is currently equal with Jon Walters with 43 goals.
Crouch has scored four times this season from 10 appearances with most of those coming off the bench.
He has been a huge asset for the Potters this season and all his goals have resulted in his side securing points.
Manager Mark Hughes praised him highly at today’s press conference.
He said: “Pete is an exceptional player and a great guy as well.
“I think too many people concentrate on his age.
“In terms at where he is in his career, it is a credit to him he is playing at the level that he is.
“He’s of the view that he’s got more than two or three more years at this level and I don’t disagree.
“It’s our intention that we will more than likely offer him another deal very, very soon.
“We would like to think he will be here for a long time.”
