The New C4 Cactus is to premier Citroen’s new Hydraulic Cushion suspension system.
The C4 Cactus has been subjected to an extensive facelift, altering the looks and bringing Citroen’s new ‘Progressive Hydraulic Cushion’ (PHC) suspension to the market for the first time. Citroen hopes it will reinstate their reputation for building the most comfortable affordable cars on the road, PHC has been made to replace the complex oil filled suspension famous on the Citroen DS, C6 and XM.
Quirky looks are back for the second generation of the popular crossover however, they have been toned down to appeal to a broader market. This comes after the announcement that Citroen are to axe the current C4.
This move is thought to be made to make way for not only the C4 Cactus, but other cars under the PSA umbrella, like the Peugeot 308 and Vauxhall Astra.
The new car will be available with up to 130hp from a 1.2-litre petrol engine. An 82hp diesel engine is also available, alongside a range of other options.
